Scott J. Nance is Founder and Principal of West-NW Capital, LLC, an institutional division of Compass Securities Corporation. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1987 and has substantial experience advising institutional and individual clients on the value of alternative investment strategies as well as traditional equity and fixed income investments.

Prior to forming West-NW Capital in November 2009, Mr. Nance was a Managing Director at Equinox Distributors for over four years. He was responsible for national sales of The Frontier Fund to Registered Investment Advisors, and to financial advisors at major broker-dealer firms in the western U.S.

Mr. Nance was also a principal and institutional salesperson for more than three years at Robeco Investment Management, whose U.S.-based asset management subsidiaries include Weiss, Peck & Greer Investments and Boston Partners. He was an institutional director of business development for two years at Banc of America Capital Management, the asset management arm of Bank of America. Mr. Nance has broad experience in the managed futures industry, including seven years at John W. Henry & Company, Inc. He earned a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
