David McQuaid has successfully placed capital for a variety of hedge fund managers and private equity managers he currently represents.

David's client base and network is comprised of top family offices, asset management firms, endowments, consultants and pension funds primarily in the Northeast and California.

David founded Cresthaven Capital in 2006 with the aim of bringing top talent and best ideas from the alternative investment universe to top institutions across the U.S. and Canada.

David registered with Compass Securities and by carefully identifying emerging talent from the alternative space, has successfully built a business and has established relationships with hundreds of the top institutions across the country, many of whom have become clients.

David has also successfully formed a partnership with colleague Bruce Winans, which has lead to successfully placing capital for top 40 act alternative fund managers. They continue to focus on the build out of a distribution platform and network to continue to bring value to the RIA clients seeking best ideas from the space and for talented 40 act hedge fund managers seeking visibility and growth.

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Adminstration with a minor in marketing and holds a Series 7 and Series 63 license.
